Checklist before signing
- Rent amount and due date
- Deposit and refund conditions
- Utility billing — actual meter or flat rate
- Minimum term and early-termination penalty
- Rules on pets, guests, and noise
Before moving in
Photograph every corner of the room and report existing damage in writing. It saves a lot of arguments on move-out day.
