Give notice on time

Most leases require 30 days notice. Missing it can cost you a full month of deposit.

Five steps before returning the room

  • Deep clean everything including the bathroom and balcony
  • Fix small damage yourself — nail holes, dripping taps
  • Photograph the room on key-return day
  • Settle the final utility bill
  • Do the inspection together with the landlord

If deductions seem unfair, always ask for an itemised list in writing.
